The Norton 360 security software package comes in the download form that is around 125 MB in size. The file can be downloaded from Norton store, or some of the download sites (activation code needed). Alternatively, if you want a CD version, you can obtain it at some online stores, or at your local Symantec reseller (Staples, Wal-Mart, etc). In any case the installation will start with the same opening interface and installation will continue in the same way from this point. The program will ask you if you want to install the software, browse the content (if CD) or exit.

When presented with the user agreement, make sure to read it completely and then enter your Product Activation Key in the appropriate box. Click “I Agree” and proceed on to the next screen.

The actual process of installing the Norton 360 security software should not take much more than a minute to complete the installation of the software drivers. If you have an earlier version of Norton installed on your and uninstalled it, you can restore passwords and other settings. Once the installation process in complete, you will see the main launch screen appear. You will be asked to activate the account by entering you email address so the product key can be linked to your account.

Norton will attempt to scan your computer for any infections, errors, and other security software. You will be presented with a progress screen at this time. Once complete, you will be able to begin using Norton 360 to protect yourself and optimize the performance of your computer.

  1. I had a chance to both install and uninstall Norton products. I uninstalled Norton Antivirus by using Norton Removal Tool, and then installed Norton 360. All went good and I was pleased by how smooth all the process went. Thanks Norton.

  2. I bought a product card with a redemtion code from Walmart for Norton 360. When I went to the download site I ended up on a page with lots of other sites to pick from but no download button. It was like being dropped in the middle of a strange town without a map. The address on the card is Norton.com/walmart/n360md. What is the real address?
